Evaluation of Photoradiation Therapy (PRT) in 20 Cases of Cancers

Abstract

The application of HpD-laser photoradiation in the diagnosis and treatment of malignancies is now under investigation in a few countries 1. In China, Hematoporphyrin Derivative (HpD) has been prepared from the blood of cattle by Beijing Pharmaceutical Institute and used in animal experiment since August 1980. The laser apparatus used in this study is also made in China, its clinical application having started in 1981. Using this apparatus, 20 cases of malignancy have been studied in our hospital.
