Abstract
Today clinical pictures and diagnoses of pancreatic diseases are being made clear with the advancement of clinical tests such as pancreozymin-secretin test, hypotonic duodenography, ultrasonography, scintigraphy of the pancreas, computed tomography, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, angiography and endocrinological examinations. This led to the heightened interest in this field on the part of clinicians. At the same time, in terms of the etiology of gastrointestinal symptoms centering around abdominal pains, chronic pancreatitis is drawing more attention in addition to gastroduodenal and hepatobiliary diseases.
