Abstract

The general account(#A-6, this vol.)of the scope and the equipment choice for thin-layer chromatography, particularly the high-performance mode (HPTLC), is now illustrated by four accounts of method development which, even where done before HPLC became widespread, has argued against HPLC or GC. Colour reactions as devised or adapted were crucial, as was the choice of a spotting instrument (#A-6, Appendix).
