Electrocardiographic Monitoring in Toxicological Studies: Principles and Interpretations

After a long period when reviews of cardiovascular toxicology were sporadic (Bohle, 1966; Wenzel, 1967; Selye, 1970: Chung and Dean, 1972; Davies and Gold, 1977) the literature has been dramatically enriched during the past 18 months by the appearance of three monographs devoted to cardiotoxicity (Bristow, 1980; Balazs, 1981; Van Stee, 1982). Although there is some sharing of authors and, of course, topics in these three works, they are not excessively repetitious and each collection of articles makes its own unique contribution.
