Abstract
Monocytes isolated by counterflow centrifugation have a bimodal volume distribution with the large monocytes predominantly Fc receptor (FcR) positive and active in ADCC assays (1). Volume analysis of human monocytes with a multiparameter cell sorter has revealed three distinct populations with different chemotactic capabilities (2).
