Characterization of Polymer Blends, Block Copolymers, and Graft Copolymers by Fractionation Procedures using Demixing Solvents

Part of the book series: Polymer Science and Technology ((PST,volume 20))

Abstract

In polymer analysis the scientific and technical importance of polymeric multi-component systems has increased to such an extent that problems whose solution depends on the separation of chemically different polymers are arising more and more frequently. Thus, where e.g. graft copolymers are concerned, such separation techniques are important as a means of determining the relationship between synthesis parameters and grafting efficiency.
