Techniques to Isolate Specific Human Metaphase Chromosomes

  • Chapter
Techniques in Somatic Cell Genetics

Abstract

The physical and chemical nature of chromosomes and the adherence of contaminating cellular materials under isolation conditions are important factors to be considered in selection of a method for mass isolation of chromosomes. The application for which the chromosomes are to be used may ultimately determine the procedure chosen.
