Abstract

This paper presents an overview of the ARPA/NAVAIR Ceramic Gas Turbine Engine Demonstration Program being conducted at Garrett, with emphasis on the component rig and full-scale engine development phases of the program. Program accomplishments and problems encountered in applying ceramics to gas turbine engines are discussed.
