History of Target and Special Sample Preparation at the Central Bureau for Nuclear Measurements

  • Chapter

Abstract

The Central Bureau for Nuclear Measurements (CBNM) was established in 1959 in order to collect data in a limited field of nuclear physics, mainly neutron cross sections. Consequently particle bombardment on targets was an obvious part of the program and the fabrication of targets was considered from the beginning.
