Abstract
Directed Compton profiles and magnetic susceptibilities of RbF, RbCl, and RbBr crystals have been calculated using the LCAO-approximation for the Bloch states of the electrons. The orthogonalization effects involved are treated by Löwdin’s symmetrical method to the second nearest neighbour approximation. The results obtained show significant solid state effects and they are in a general agreement with experimental data (when available).
