Abstract
In the current literature, there are numerous reports of the biological activity of exogenously administered prostaglandins and variations in the endogenous production of prostaglandins under varie physiologic conditions. However, no method has been developed that clearly differentiates the in vivo actions of each biologically active product of arachidonic acid metabolism. Thus, the true physiologic and pathophysiologic significance of these compounds remains somewhat theoretical.
