Abstract
Autoradiographic procedures can be used to locate cells that concentrate steroid hormones. The autoradiographic demonstration of steroid concentration has been used for studies on the uterus and other tissues, but it is an especially useful technique when applied to the brain. The brain is made up of cells heterogenous in structure and function, and thus the anatomical detail obtainable with autoradiography is an especially important advantage in this organ.
