Abstract
Devitrification studies of waste glasses are undertaken for a variety of reasons, but mainly to determine processing conditions through which significant crystallization can be avoided. The first detailed kinetic study by Turcotte and Wald (1) demonstrated that although behavior is complex, the kinetics follow expected trends, based on simple theoretical models of simple glasses.
