Abstract

The present note will try to place into a wider context the paper with a similar title by Castaños, Chacón, Frank and the present author.1 This paper was in turn prompted by the presentation of the work on the interacting boson model of the nucleus by Arima in a previous Oaxtepec Conference on nuclear physics.2,3,4
