Control of Spermatogonial Multiplication

  • Chapter
Reproductive Processes and Contraception

Part of the book series: Biochemical Endocrinology ((BIOEND))

Abstract

In the seminiferous tubules of the testis of adult mammals, spermatogonia are enclosed in the basal compartment of the seminiferous epithelium, with the nuclei and the basal cytoplasm of Sertoli cells, close to the basal membrane (Dym and Fawcett, 1970).
