Measurement of Diffusivity and Metabolic Rate of O2 and CO2 in Respiring Tissue

  • Chapter
Oxygen Transport to Tissue — II

Part of the book series: Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology ((AEMB,volume 75))

Abstract

Diffusivity of respired gases in tissue is an important parameter in the study of tissue gas exchange. Most authors have measured O2 and CO2 diffusivity in dead tissue in which metabolism was blocked by pharmacological or physical interference.
