Summary
In a series of 105 adult frogs (Rana pipiens) 19 sarcomas were induced at the implantation site of 3-methylcholanthrene pellets. Two tumors arose first in the control forelimbs, whereas 13 tumors arose first in the denervated forelimb. The remaining tumors occurred in a previously tumor-bearing frog. Ten months was the average latent period required until tumor formation occurred.
