Abstract

The property of platelets to aggregate with appropriate stimuli is an essential feature of the haemostatic and thrombotic process. The study of aggregation in vitro has contributed much to our understanding of this process. The introduction of an absorptiometer (3, 20) together with continuous recording of the changes in optical density (10) have considerably simplified these studies.
