Platelet Function and Thrombosis

Part of the book series: Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology ((AEMB,volume 34))

Abstract

Many information concerning the morphological heterogeneity of the circulating platelets have been accumulated in recent years. The electron microscopic investigations of platelet ultrastructure have added valuable information (2, 21, 59) to those previously obtained by optical (6l) and phase contrast microscopy (46).
