Abstract

The variable effect of a given teratogenic substance is not yet completely understood. Some teratogenic effects are known to be influenced by parameters, such as dosage, method of administration, the sensitive embryonic developmental stage, the species and the strain of the animal. Possibly other factors play an additional role.
