Kininolytic Activity of Human Amniotic Fluid

The possible presence of oxytocic principles in amniotic fluid has been the subject of study of many investigators. The existence of such substances in specimens obtained prior to term, contended by Stamm (1,2), is affirmed by most of the authors with the exception of Hanon et al. (3) who merely re ports the absence of oxytocic principles in midpregnancy.
