Abstract

Since the investigations of Rocha e Silva et al. (1949) on Bothrops jararaca venom and of Deutsch and Diniz (1955) on other Crotalidae venoms, it is known, that snake venoms possess kinin-releasing properties. Suzuki et al. (1966) purified a bradykinin-releasing enzyme from the venom of Agkistrodon halys blomhoffii and recently Cohen et al. (1969) from Echis coloratus venom.
