Abstract
By incorporating small amounts of lanthana in bariumtitanate one obtains in reducing conditions deep black semiconducting perovskite phases, while in oxidizing conditions bright yellow, electrically insulating perovskites are observed. Both can be converted to one another by varying the temperature and the oxygen pressure.
