Abstract
Neither long ago nor very recently, I wrote a book that expressed and illustrated a conceptual scheme that I thought captured the essence of how sociological research could help in the creation of more adequate human environments. In retrospect, however, I think that the book in some ways obfuscates the complexity of factors relevant to this context, even though what I said in the fine print might have been suitably oriented.
