Abstract

In this last lecture in the series it may be appropriate to commence by recording briefly some aspects of the themes developed by the other contributors. The general aim of the programme was to consider problems of human settlements from different points of view, taking advantage of the variety of disciplines represented in CHEC, and of the wide range of Commonwealth experience.
