Superconducting Electron-Optic Devices

Part of the book series: The International Cryogenics Monograph Series ((INCMS))

Abstract

A possible construction for a 3-MV microscope with most components of the superconducting variety and operated mainly in the fixed-beam mode is outlined in the literature (Dietrich et al., 1975). Passow (1976) has considered means for improving the resolution, especially for the case when the microscope, which has a microwave accelerator, is operated in the scanning mode.
