Abstract
During the symposium, workshops were organized to enable the participants to discuss the subject matter of the symposium in small informal groups. To assist discussion, the six groups were asked to comment on a paper entitled ‘Environmental Considerations for Development in the Third World’. This paper, which is included as an appendix to this volume, was produced by a working party of the World Development Movement.
