Abstract
While disturbances in endocrine balance often occurring during psychosis may be considered non-specific biological reactions, it is probable that in some cases these findings might have a great significance on the pathogenesis and the course of some psychopathological conditions, although the aetiological factors remain unclear. At least, these findings have been found therapeutically useful giving important indices for treatment, so that they could be a clue to clarifying the pathophysiology of some types of psychoses (Hatotani et al. 1962).
