Abstract
The majority of human blood serum (non lipo-) proteins exists in only three discrete sizes: roughly 70 percent are of the size of serum albumin, with a molecular weight around 70,000 (sedimentation coefficient 4 S); some 25 percent, the globulins, have a molecular weight of 160,000 (7 S); and about 5 percent, the macroglobulins, have a molecular weight of 860,000 (19 S)(1).
