Abstract
In reactions where a high energy proton interacts with a nucleus to produce a final state which contains two high energy protons it is normal (1 – 4) to interpret the reaction as a quasielastic scattering from a single proton moving within the nucleus. The results of the experiments we have performed at Liverpool are presented in terms of a distorted wave impulse approximation (DWIA) for this knock-out type of reaction.
