Abstract

A typical round shaped streaming maximum was observed in solutions of methyl butyl phenacyl sulfonium perchlorate at pH 8–12. Its properties differ from most commonly known catalytic and streaming maxima. Some similarity exists between the observed maximum and the maxima of second kind, the difference being mainly in the effect of capillary characteristics.
