Abstract
The lavas of the volcanoes of the Kurile Islands are rather varied in their petrographic relationships: all varieties from basic basalts to acid liparites can be found here. At the same time, we must note the uniformity in the petrochemical composition of the lavas; all of them belong to the calc-alkali family, specifically to its most calcic types.
