Abstract
Optimal structural designs of mirror systems of fully inclinable and rotatable radio telescopes intended for operation in the meter-wave length band are examined. The work of constructing a parabolic mirror with a reflecting mesh surface and with a flexible parabolic framework made up of cable and wire elements is analyzed, as also the principal subassemblies of a radio telescope: inclinable and rotatable supporting structures based on a floating pontoon or on an air cushion. Elevation-angle inclining apparatus with a traction carriage is also examined.
