Abstract
In mammals sulphur is ingested as organic compounds containing S, particularly the S containing amino acids, which are oxidised in the body to produce inorganic SO4, which is excreted in the urine. Acute experiments investigating the excretion of inorganic SO4 have been reviewed by Mudge, Berndt and Valtin (1973).
