Statistical Quality Control Techniques



In Chapter 1 the concept of the analytical system was introduced. To reiterate, the analytical system consists of all elements in the laboratory that can impact on the result of an analysis. This includes the laboratory’s physical facilities, personnel, analytical methods, operational procedures, and instruments and other auxiliary equipment. To control quality it is necessary to control the elements that make up the analytical system.
