Abstract
These lectures are an introduction to and not a survey of Nambu Jona-Lasinio theory applied to low energy (below 1 possibly 2 GeV) hadronic physics. The aim is to ease the reader’s access to the literature and to help him make his own calculations. We have certainly not referred adequately to the ever increasing number of works on the subject and we stress more what people do than what people say.
