Abstract
Considerable attention has been paid to the role of familial factors in the etiology of coronary heart disease (CHD) in humans and it is been well established that increased susceptibility to coronary heart disease tends to aggregate in certain families. Familial CHD aggregation could be due to genetic predisposition or environmental influences affecting lipoproteins or other risk factors such as hypertension, dietary and smoking habits.
