Abstract
Most people, when drawing circles, do so in a counterclockwise direction. Blau (1977a, b, c) reports that among those who draw circles in a clockwise direction, there is an excess of cognitive and affective problems, as well as a higher frequency of left-handedness. Torque is the name given to the tendency to draw circles in a clockwise direction. In the procedure used by Blau the S is asked to draw three circles with each hand; if S draws one or more circles in the clockwise direction, he is said to have torque.
