Abstract

Although clinical biofeedback is currently employed as either a primary or adjunctive therapy in a wide variety of medical problems, it is in the area of functional disorders that the applications and advantages are dear. Since traditional medical approaches to these problems are often temporary and not without side effects, biofeedback offers a viable alternative to the many sufferers of headaches, hypertension, gastrointestinal problems, etc.
