Abstract

The first chapter dealt with trends toward eclecticism that have been occurring over the last 20 to 30 years. In this chapter I will expand the time frame to look at developments in eclectic therapy from the late 1800s up to the eclectic therapy of Frederick Thorne which was formulated in the 1940s and 1950s.
