Environmental Effects of Offshore Oil Production

Part of the book series: Marine Science ((MR,volume 14))

Abstract

The objective of the sedimentology-geochemistry portion of the Buccaneer Field investigation was to determine whether exploration/production activities have resulted in trace metal contamination of the surrounding environment. Those elements analyzed include Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb, Sr, and Zn.
