Abstract

Weak neutral currents were discovered in 1973 by the Gargamelle (GGM) Collaboration1). Four years elapsed until 1977, when data were presented by the GGM2) and the CERN-Dortmund-Heidelberg-Saclay (CDHS) Collaboration3) which convincingly unravelled the isospin and the space-time structure of this new interaction. Since then, important new results and improvements of old results have been reported, but our picture of the neutral-current interaction did not change. Today, this picture is well supported by many experiments which explore various aspects of neutral currents.
