Abstract
Caulerpin is an unusual orange-red pigment first isolated by Santos-1 from the green algae Caulerpa serrulata, C. sertularioides and C. racemosa var. clavifera collected in the Philippines. We have also found it in the latter species and in C. taxifolia, both obtained from Sri Lanka.
