Abstract

Our fragile water planet is a unit within a solar system, revolving around the sun. The solar system embraces the sun, the planets and their satellites (moons), the asteroids, the comets, and meteorites. The sun is only one star in our galaxy. The galaxy has the shape of a lens, embraces more than 1011 (or 100,000,000) stars,1 and has a diameter of about 70,000 light-years.
