Abstract
The Phillips Petroleum Company found rock salt in its Punta Gorda No. 1 well in an Eocene clastic section at a depth of 1241–1642 ft. This well is located about three miles northwest of the village of Punta Gorda in southern British Honduras (16º9’4“N.-88º48’47”W.).
