Abstract

As distinguished from chapter 1 of the present part, where we have considered subset-selection procedures, in this chapter we discuss the problem to select the best of k populations — because of reasons given below, in this chapter we speak of k treatments (cf. introduction) — where the probability of a correct selection shall not be smaller than some preassigned value P*.
