Abstract
More than half a century has elapsed since Ewing (1921) described the “diffuse endothelioma of bone,” later termed by him (1924) “endothelial myeloma,” as a specific clinical entity, distinct from osteosarcoma and of a characteristic pathologic appearance. From the term he gave to his tumor, it is evident that he considered it of medullary and endothelial origin.
