Abstract
Suppose that we have a significance test for the hypothesis θ = θ0 where θ0 is any particular value of the unknown parameter θ. The set of values θ0 such that the significance level is α or more is called a 100(1 − α)% confidence interval for θ. Some examples and properties of confidence intervals are discussed in Section 1.
