Abstract

In this chapter, we continue the investigation begun in Chapter 6 on output regulation for the system

$$\dot x(t) = Ax(t) + Bu(t)$$
$$y(t) = Cx(t)$$
$$z(t) = Dx(t).$$

As in Chapter 6, we shall explore the basic geometric structure, while in Chapter 8, we turn to simple and direct procedures that lend themselves to computation.
