Linear independence and dependence
A set of vectors E is said to be linearly dependent if there exist distinct vectors A1,…, Ak in E and numbers a1… ak, not all zero, such that
$$\left( * \right)\,\,\,a_1 A_1 + a_2 A_2 + \ldots + a_k A_k = 0$$
